
The California Foundation for Independent Living Centers, a nonprofit disability advocacy group in coordination with CSU, Northridge - Center on Disabilities is conducting research on technology used to facilitate employment outcomes for people with disabilities. The phrase Assistive Technology refers to any device that a person with a disability uses to live or work more independently. It can be a modified workstation, a walker, or even Velcro on a pen. This project is funded by a grant from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research
We are circulating this survey to:

Establish the connections between Assistive Technology and employment for people with disabilities
•
Reveal how Assistive Technology supports a range of employment options
•
Determine the portion of employers who fund technology on the job
•
Discover employers’ attitudes toward hiring and accommodating people with disabilities using Assistive Technology on the job
•
Identify some of the barriers to using Assistive Technology on the job and
•
Recognize the effectiveness technology has in helping people with disabilities do their jobs
